Privacy Policy

How GoalStatsHub collects, uses and protects personal data, which cookies are used for analytics and advertising, and how to exercise your rights.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

1. Who we are

This policy covers the website goalstatshub.com ("GoalStatsHub", "we", "us"). GoalStatsHub is the controller of the personal data described below. Please send questions about this policy or about your data to [email protected].

You don't need an account to use GoalStatsHub, and we don't ask for your name, address or payment details.

2. What data we process

Technical data from your visit

When you load a page, your browser sends standard technical information to our servers and hosting provider:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device type;
  • the page requested;
  • the referring page;
  • the date and time.

We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors. Server logs are kept only for a short time.

Usage statistics

We measure how the site is used: which pages are visited, which dates and matches people open, and how long pages take to load. This helps us improve the content. We use two services for this:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC). It sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. Where the law requires it, it runs only after you consent. IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (Vercel Inc.). These collect aggregated page views and performance measurements without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

Advertising

GoalStatsHub is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies for these purposes:

  • to show ads;
  • to limit how often you see the same ad;
  • to measure ad performance;
  • to prevent fraud;
  • where you allow it, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Google explains this in more detail on these pages:

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to handle your request. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed.

Data stored in your browser

The Matches page remembers the date you last selected in your browser's session storage, so the page stays on that date when you come back to it. This value never leaves your device. It is cleared when you close the browser tab.

3. Legal bases

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): for delivering and securing the site, server logs, and cookieless performance measurement.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for analytics and advertising cookies, and for personalised ads. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect processing that happened before.
  • Taking steps at your request and legitimate interests: for replying to your emails.

4. Cookies and your choices

Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message on their first visit. It lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies, and choose whether ads may be personalised. If you reject personalised ads, you may still see non-personalised ads. Those use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. To change your choice later, use the privacy settings link shown by the consent message, or clear this site's cookies in your browser.

5. Who receives the data

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site:

  • Vercel Inc., for hosting and performance measurement;
  • Google, for analytics and advertising.

Some of these providers process data outside the EEA and the UK, in particular in the United States. Those transfers rely on one of two safeguards:

  • the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, including its UK extension;
  • the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We don't sell personal data.

6. How long we keep data

  • Server and error logs: up to 30 days.
  • Google Analytics data: no more than 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
  • Emails: as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than 2 years.
  • Cookies: until they expire or you delete them. Google's cookies typically last up to 13 months.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data;
  • have it corrected or erased;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We don't run user accounts, so we often can't link analytics or advertising data to you. For that data the settings in section 4 are usually the quickest route.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live or work. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In Poland it is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).

8. Children

GoalStatsHub is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
